Dr. Layla Mikayla is an IFBB Fitness Pro, professional aerialist, and lifelong mover with over two decades of experience in dance, fitness, and embodied performance. With a unique background that bridges postmodern choreography, competitive bodybuilding, and sensual stage work, she brings both intensity and soul to every class she leads.
She holds a BFA in Dance from Temple University, where she was the first in her program to receive the prestigious Alumni Award for “unusual success.” Layla began teaching dance at just 14 years old and has since competed in over 30 bodybuilding shows and five pole competitions, with her most notable wins being 2nd place finishes at both the Arnold Classic and Oksana Grishina’s Pole Fitness Championship.
A NASM-certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and group fitness instructor (certified in mat Pilates, spin, and general formats), Layla brings a solid foundation in body mechanics and training methodology. She has also been a professional Lyra hoop aerialist for over 12 years and studied Liquid Motion directly under its founder, Jeni Janover—the very method she now teaches with grounded passion.
Layla has performed as a feature dancer at the adult entertainment expo EXXXOTICA, sharing her artistry on one of the industry’s biggest stages.
She first stepped into the world of pole the summer before her final semester of college, dancing at a popular local club. It was supposed to be temporary—but pole never let her go. She continued dancing while launching her own company, Infatuation Dance, in Philadelphia—a project rooted in the light and dark of being an exotic dancer—and even used her earnings from the club to fund it. While the company eventually closed after two years due to a lack of support, Layla's creative fire never dimmed. She shifted her focus to bodybuilding, began modeling, and later moved to New York City, where she took a break from performing to explore the world of BDSM as a professional dominatrix.
Eventually, in 2018, she enrolled at Body & Pole—New York City’s premier studio for pole, aerial, and movement arts—with the intention of refining her Lyra hoop skills and hand balancing for her bodybuilding routines. But in the process, she discovered Liquid Motion and, almost by fate, stumbled into a pole class. That moment reignited her love for pole in a way that felt entirely new, yet deeply familiar.
After nearly a decade in NYC, Layla relocated to Las Vegas, where she continues to evolve her craft and deepen her study of pole as both art and ritual. Her classes blend sensuality, strength, and storytelling—and whether you’re brand new or experienced, Layla holds space for you to unlock something powerful inside yourself.
